Valentine's Day是国外的情人节，在前面加上修饰词Chinese，即“中国的情人节”。这种表达方式非常形象，可以让老外看懂其中真正的含义。

Global Times是中国的第二大英文刊物，仅次于China Daily(中国日报英文版)。其中出现的一些中国特色词汇，可以视为官方的标准翻译了，在写作和翻译中完全可以使用。

除了Chinese Valentine's Day，也可以直接使用更加通俗的(the) Qixi Festival。这个在官方报刊中也经常出现。比如China Daily中的一段话：

这里的lunar month表示中国的农历。月份。几月初几翻译成英文就是the nth day of the nth lunar month。
表示节日的日期，除了用be celebrated on，还有个常用表达：fall on。如：Christmas falls on December 25^th.
