Many rich countries are seeing house prices surge even as their rate of infections is rising for a second time. In the second quarter, although economies were under lockdown, house prices rose in eight out of ten high- and middle-income countries.很多富裕国家的房价都在暴涨，尽管这些国家的感染率正在呈现第二次上升。在第二季度，尽管各大经济体处于封锁状态，但每10个中高收入国家中有8个房价出现上涨。
see在这里的意思并不是看见。而是表示客观事实的发生。其英文释义为：if a place or a period of time sees an event, the event happens in that place or during that time。
这句话也可以写成：
see的这一用法在很多作文的开头段都可以用到。比如“近些年人们生活方式发生了很大改变”，可以写成：
Recent years have seen dramatic changes in people's lifestyles.
相当于：
People's lifestyles have changed dramatically in recent years.
①Almost everyone there relies on aid. ②Access to traditional sources of finance, like banks, is extremely limited and expensive. ③On the plus side, the Rwandan government at least does not tax the enterprises run within the camps.那里几乎每个人都依赖援助。资金的传统获取渠道(如银行)极其有限而且价格昂贵。不过好在，卢旺达政府至少不向难民营内经营的企业征税。
plus在这个短语当中是一个形容词，用于讨论事物的优点或好处。
再比如下面两段关于管理者作用的讨论：
Electronic reading is more convenient than the tradition kind. But on the other hand, excessive exposure to screens may lead to failing eyesight.电子阅读比纸质阅读更方便，但是过度接触屏幕可能会造成视力下降。
①A vacation gives workers a chance to recharge their mental batteries. Heading to a new location allows employees to clear their thoughts. ②After all, there is more to life than spreadsheets and sales forecasts.假期给了员工一个休息的机会。去一个新地方可以让员工理清思路。毕竟，生活中除了电子表格和销售预测之外还有其他东西。
其中，B与more构成比较结构，而不是B与A构成比较，因此不能在B前面加上to：There is more to A than to B. to在这个特殊结构中表示一种从属关系。more在这里是个代词，由于没有明确的指代对象，因此视为单数，谓语用is。再比如：
再比如一句著名的歌词“生活不止眼前的苟且还有诗和远方的田野”就可以翻译成：
