超好用的学术词汇英语：address

你认识的address。是否还是那个相识多年的地址，自相见于第二本英语课本，从此深深的印在脑海里，无论多少超好用的学术词汇英语，已成路人，但她，依然牢记于心。因为她是牵绊着你的包裹，是连接着你的电子邮件，是你永远避不开的表格，多年之后，你是否还曾记起，她的另一个身份动词。

下面是正经的分析

当address作为动词时，Cambridge Dictionary对她的解析是

* to give attention to or deal with a matter or problem.

* to speak or write to someone, or to direct information to someone, or to give a speech to an audience.

It is time to address the budget deficit.

How does the organization address the problems identified?

He was impressed with the business plan because it addressed a real need.

她包含的第一个意思可以为“讨论，分析，关注，想办法解决”。相当于“to deal with, to discuss”。一看到这个翻译的时候，是不是已经感觉到这一定是可以在学术论文里面大展拳脚的高端词汇？！而且就表达风格来说，address是个比较正式的单词，可以说非常适合学术论文这种正式语气的场合了。

事实也确实如此，address在英文学术论文里面的使用频率还是比较高的。但是，据学姐超级不完全的统计，很少在中文母语作者的文章中看到她的身影。正如前面所说，我们对她的认识并没有想象中的那么全面。
