1 revolve around
revolve是个六级词汇，基本意思为旋转，这个单词的意思决定了后面的介词为around。如The earth revolves around the sun. 但是这个意思在写作中几乎用不到。
revolve还有一个非常实用的写作意思：to have something as a main subject or purpose 以某事为中心或主要目的。常用搭配：revolve around sth/sb，与用法较广的focus on意思较为接近。比如下面这个副标题：
It will revolve around turning the social network’s messaging services into something akin to a Chinese mega-app.该举措的重心在于将脸书的信息服务转变为与中国的一个大型APP(微信)类似的软件。(be akin to=be similar to)
revolve around在这句话当中表示的就是to have something as a main purpose。相比于focus on来说更加精准。
再比如下面这段关于克隆的争议：
Debate about using science to create bespoke human beings of one sort or another usually revolves around the ideas of genetic engineering and cloning.(bespoke定制的)
这句话当中的revolve around表示to have something as a main subject。从这句话当中，还能提取一个非常好的写作句型：Debate about A usually revolves around B. 关于A的争论通常以B为中心。
2 spark
spark也是个四六级词汇。本义为火花，火星/点火。spark作为动词可以表示to make someone feel, think of, or remember something触发某人的某种情感。
比如下面关于中美贸易战的描述：
It(The trade war between America and China) sparked fears about global growth.
spark也可以表示引起争论(to cause the start of something, especially an argument or fighting)，比如下面这段关于之前巴西大火的描述：
The fire in Rio should spark a debate about how the world can protect its treasures.里约的火灾应该引起关于世界如何保护其自然资产的争论。
从中可以提取一个写作句型：A spark a debate about B 引起关于...的争论。可以用在一些作文的第一段，用于引出话题。仍然以上面那个校园暴力为例：
Frequent occurrences of school bullying have sparked a debate about how children can be protected at school.
